1. University of South Carolina School of Law-
Back at the beginning of April, I had the opportunity to visit Columbia, SC and tour the law school at the University of South Carolina. This is one of the schools that I am on the wait list for, so I really wanted to visit the campus and meet with the admissions office. I was not disappointed... I absolutely LOVE this school! I am so glad I took the time to visit. On the flip side, I'm going to be super sad if I don't get in... especially now that I know what I'd be missing!
For those of you who have read my About Me page, you know how much I love Broadway plays! Wicked was actually the first one I saw back in 2014, so I was super excited that the National Tour was coming back around. Going to the theater has become a special thing for my mom and I to do together. Over the past few years, we have seen 3 or 4 major plays and added another to our list with Wicked. My mom hadn't seen it previously, so I was super excited for her to experience it. I had really high expectations after seeing it a few years ago and it was just as wonderful the second time around! Wicked is the very clever and unique story about the wicked witch from The Wizard of Oz. Even if you have no interest in musicals or theater, I encourage you to go see it! You will not regret it!
3. Taco Garage-
Okay, this is not really an April favorite, but an everyday, all the time favorite. I'm obsessed. Taco Garage is a new restaurant that recently opened in my town a few months ago. My mom and I have this thing about trying a new restaurant each month and this was our pick for January. They obviously sell tacos, but have other items like Mexicali fries, enchiladas, and the best salsa! I cannot even count how many times I have eaten there since that first visit. I even had it three times in one week! 😋 I'm in love with their chicken tacos and their salsa is now my favorite from anywhere. Hmmm... it is Cinco de Mayo, I wonder what's for dinner...
4. Blueberry Yogurt Pretzels-
I got these for the first time while I was in South Carolina. I went by the Fresh Market to grab some snacks and found them among the barreled goodies up front. I love the bag of White Fudge Flipz you can get anywhere, but there is something fun about getting things out of the Fresh Market barrels. As weird as they sound, these pretzels are the bomb!
5. The Royals Series- Erin Watt
I love to read and this was a cool book series I listened to on Audible. The plot was not at all what I was expecting, but I really enjoyed the story line and the narrators did a great job. In short, these books are about a girl living on her own after her mother dies and the processing of her unwillingly going to live with a wealthy family she’s never met. Be prepared for a lot of twists! I have a goal of reading 25 books this year, so that's three more down!
Law School Update Coming Soon... Happy Reading!
