Monthly Favorites- May

May has been a crazy busy month, but I've managed to find a few favorite things within the chaos. Enjoy!

1. May 4th
Yup, I'm one of those people... May the 4th be with you!!! As a huge Star Wars fan, this is probably one of my favorite weird days of the year. I celebrated by having a Star Wars marathon and preparing for the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Which leads me to the next item on the list...

 2. Solo: A Star Wars Story
I was terrified I would be disappointed with this movie, but... I LOVED it! I thought Alden Ehrenreich did a wonderful job portraying a young Han Solo. The movie was full of clever, little tie ins and explanations for things in the other Star Wars movies. Also, Emilia Clarke is one of my favorite human beings and actresses out there, so I was super excited about her role in this movie. I can't wait to see how this story continues to impact future Star Wars movies.

3. Volleyball
I am so glad it's beach volleyball season! This is my favorite sport to play and I wait all winter to get back in the sand. My friends and I play a lot of doubles and fours for fun, but there are also several leagues to join and tournaments to play in around the area.

4. PuraVida Bracelets
I've seen a lot of people wearing these, but I've never been a huge bracelet fan. These have made me change my mind. After buying a couple to try out, I've now bought several more bracelets, an anklet, and signed up for the monthly club- which sends you new bracelets each month. They are super easy to put on and there are so many colors and designs. Another cool thing- the items on sale are buy one get one free, so keep an eye out for cute stuff to go on sale! Also, PuraVida frequently sends out coupon codes through email. Check out PuraVida here!

5. Yard Sales
It's May, so you know what that means... yard sale season! My mom and I have always enjoyed going to yard sales and we've managed to catch several good ones over the past couple weeks. They are an awesome way to find cheap home decor- I found and bought a new, 24 piece set of dishes for $7. I highly encourage setting out early to seek out these sales- you never know what you will find!
